A Great Weekend
Saturday, we held a clean up/fix-up day for the building that we're renting. I think the day was a huge win on several levels. First of all, it was coordinated by SOMEBODY ELSE! It's great that we're finally starting to have major church events that are NOT being led by me! Second, we had about 15 individuals from Journey that helped out during the day. I've often said that the best way to connect with others is through SERVING together... It's amazing what kind of relationships can be formed when you've got two guys installing a new sink or tearing off gutters! Third, some ladies from the church served up a KICKING lunch. I left on Saturday so energized by the people that God has brought our way. THANK YOU!
Last night, we held a worship/prayer concert called the Deep End. It was a privilege to have Laura Angel and the worship team from Solid Rock Church in Toledo come and join us. It Afterward, we invaded the Fort Ball Pizza Palace and had a great time getting to know Solid Rock's team. They are such a great group of folks! I'm already looking forward to our next Deep End... Stay tuned for our next date!
