Receiving Christ's Forgiveness

“And if Christ had not been raised,
your faith is futile;
you are still in your sins.”
(1 Corinthians 5:17, NIV)

Think about this. If Jesus had not willingly faced death and been raised again, our faith is worthless... it is useless. We would still be living under the control of sin. We would still be guilty.  Think about this verse in affirmative terms.  It would be stated something like this, “Since Christ HAS been raised, your faith is WORTH EVERYTHING; you are no longer in your sins, you are no longer controlled by darkness!”
