Eager for His arrival

“What holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along... we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth He has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.” (2 Peter 3:11-12a,13, NLT)

I don’t look forward to Christ’s coming like I should. I get so self-absorbed in everything around me, that I lose the FOCUS that the first century followers of Jesus had. I need to learn to “wait and earnestly long for (expect and hasten)” the Day of God. How about you? May we be EAGER for His arrival, anticipating that TODAY could be the day!!
