Enduring persecution

In the midst of writing about the dragon, the beast, and the war that they were waging against God’s people, John comments:

“This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.” (Revelation 13:10b, NLT)

Perhaps this is why God allows temptation and trials to come into our lives. One day we may have to stand up under more than a wrong craving or urge... We may have to endure persecution. So, in the here and now, may we learn to deny ourselves. May we REMAIN FAITHFUL to Christ Jesus.
