Obedience

“On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in Your name and cast out demons in Your name and performed many miracles in Your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’” (Matthew 7:22,23, NLT)

These are some of the scariest verses in the Bible. Jesus wants obedience from us. Its not enough to listen to His teaching. We’ve got to cross the line of faith and decide whether these are just cute religious sayings, or whether we are going to actively, actually FOLLOW HIM!? Will we obey and serve Him even when it doesn’t make sense? Even when it seems downright dangerous?
