Props to God!
I'm excited to communicate several of the ways that God blessed us on Sunday morning. The following are just a few of the ways that we sense that God is definitely leading our journey...
- One of the young adults who was baptized in September brought both of his parents with him on Sunday morning. He told me, yesterday, that they actually enjoyed the service and will probably come back.
- This past Sunday was Keri's first time leading the Kid's Church. She was so grateful to have Todd volunteering to help her. Not only did he do an EXCELLENT job, but afterward, he asked us if he could help lead the Kids Church EVERY week!
- One of the reasons that Todd and Keri enjoyed Kids Church so much was because of a new curriculum that they are using (Elevate from Fellowship Church). This interactive, high quality curriculum would be way too expensive for us to purchase, but Faith Memorial Church in Sandusky has decided to pass it along to us for free!
- The difference in the atmosphere of our service was noticeable! Slowly, our people are realizing that worship is not a spectator sport, but is our opportunity to declare God's greatness individually and as a community of believers. People are actually singing OUT LOUD, hands are being raised, and peaceful/gentle spontaneous worship is happening between songs. God is being authentically glorified!
- We had another excellent youth service last night. T.J. (a full-time youth pastor at Lighthouse Church in Toledo) drives over 50 miles one-way to come and train our volunteers for one hour and then teach the teens from God's Word. He has been doing this for the past month! What a gift of time and talents.
God is building Journey Church! What a privilege to be a participant on this journey!
