Are you refusing to enter God's pleasant land?

“The people refused to enter the pleasant land,
for they wouldn’t believe his promise to care for them.” (Psalm 106:24, NLT)

I am struck by that last line, “for they wouldn’t believe his promise to care for them.”

God is my Heavenly Father. He wants GOOD things for me. But ultimately He cares more about my character than my comfort. He is concerned about WHO I am becoming. And He wants me to LET HIM care for me. But what do I often do instead? I try to stay in control. I try to care for myself. And this lack of faith and trust prevents me from truly realizing the good, pleasant things God has in store for me. By refusing to trust God, I refuse to enter His pleasant place of promise.
