God is Holy

“I will make known my HOLY name among my people of Israel. I will not let anyone bring shame on it. And the nations, too, will know that I am the LORD, the HOLY one of Israel.” (Ezekiel 39:7-8, NLT)

In reading Ezekiel 39, the word “holy” is repeated over and over. We must never lose sight of God’s holiness. He is absolutely, altogether separate from anything or anyone. While God desires a “personal relationship” with us, we must also keep a fear, awe, and utter respect of Him. God is not our “little buddy”--He cannot and will not be manipulated. He is higher, wiser, and greater... HE IS HOLY! Take a minute right now to make known God’s HOLY NAME through your own words of praise.
