Your Name Here

Last week, while we were on our drive to North Carolina for vacation (let me just tell you THAT drive is an eternity when you've got two kids under the age of 3 in the back seat), ANYHOW, we stopped for an hour to let the kids walk around Colonial Williamsburg. On our way back from the colonial village to the visitor's center, I noticed that the walkway had bricks that were engraved with different tidbits from history. Slowly, the bricks were bringing us closer and closer to present day. The final brick stated something to the effect, "Your Name Here: What difference will your life make." I loved it!

Someday, when Journey is blessed to have a ministry facility that is our own, I'd love to have a similar walkway that is a timeline of church history from the time of Jesus until today... And I love the concluding brick: "Your name here! Continue the Mission!" We are part of something that is SO MUCH bigger than what is happening in our own context of ministry! And in the few days that God gives us to be alive, we must ask how we will make our mark for the name and renown of Christ!
