Our District Council

Yesterday, Keri and I left for Columbus to attend our District Council. A District what?!! If you didn't know, Journey is affiliated with a network of churches called "the Assemblies of God." Our church is specifically a part of the Ohio District, which comprises all of the Assemblies of God churches in the state of Ohio. In fact, it was the Ohio District that launched Journey Church by appointing me to be Journey's pastor and by FINANCING our new church.

Anyhow, once a year, all of the pastors from our district get together for several days of business meetings, worship, and inspiration. This year is specifically important because we are electing a new District Superintenent. As I sit here typing this, we are in the process of making that very important decision.
