Schools Out Bash

Last night was our Schools Out Bash, an outreach event for the kids in our community. Despite some bad weather, we still had a great turnout. Pastor Keith and the team from Toledo's Calvary Assembly did a great job! They brought a group of their kids who ministered through human videos and dramas. They also brought an awesome slip 'n slide, cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, and a great big grill that enabled us to give out about 70 hotdogs! I was so excited to see how our Journey volunteers really stepped up to the plate and helped out in a number of different ways--registration, greeting people, grilling, handing out lemonades, etc. What a great night! One girl told me afterward that the Bash was better than Christmas! Please pray with me that God will water the seeds that were planted!
