The Ad You Won't See Tonight

NBC has rejected the following Super Bowl commercial by catholicvote, a pro-life Catholic group.  An NBC representative in Chicago told  the group this past Wednesday (the 28th) that NBC and the NFL are not interested in advertisements involving "political advocacy or issues."  I guess they'd rather air ads that show tight shirts and advocate getting plastered.  Anyhow, check out the ad below and let me know your thoughts.

have to say i agree with them.... this is not a super bowl commercial. Although I am not for abortion. I would like to remind everyone that the president isnt just black, his mother who struggled to raise him is white.

Anonymous, thanks for the comment! (I'm always surprised that people actually read this thing!) Please help me understand your last statement about President Obama's mother being white? Not sure about the relevancy of race.

So, sorry that this wont let me log in, did not mean to be anonymous. In the commercial it said at the end, this baby is our "first african american president". But he is only half black. Why could they have not said in the add that this baby is our newly elected president.

It should be shown! However in this crazy media hungry world though, not being shown may work to the ads advantage. If you bloggers, the news media,& just folks like me spread the word about the Forbidden Super Bowl ad it may get more press than if it was actually shown. Thanks for postin it PK, I am passin it along to those I forward stuff to!

No "issues", ideas or thinking allowed. Just mindless commercialism, attempted murder over a beer and making out with chimpanzees. Real high class stuff.
